What you'll learn

Unlock the transformative power of music with this Music for Health and Wellness microcredential. This microcredential provides you with an in-depth exploration of the application of music to well-being. Through a multi-disciplinary approach, you will gain practical knowledge and insights about how music can facilitate personal growth, emotional health, and improved communication across diverse populations. You will also gain an understanding of the Human Services field and the role of the Helping Professional. This microcredential also provides you with the opportunity to select a fourth course in an area most relevant to your career goals. Successful completion of this microcredential provides current professionals with specialized skills needed to introduce music-based activities in their work. Note: Courses that reference music and health or therapeutic applications do not meet the requirements for professional credentialing in music therapy. Music therapy is a regulated profession that requires completion of an approved degree program with specialized coursework and supervised clinical training.
