What you'll learn
Understanding financial statements is a critical skill in business, from small entrepreneurs managing their own finances to corporate bankers assessing loan applications. In this microcredential, students will first build a foundation in financial statements-balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements-before learning how to analyze financial data through key financial ratios. A culminating project will allow students to apply these skills to a real company's annual reports from the perspective of a commercial lender. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you for continued study and to apply for positions such as commercial loan officer or credit analyst.
