What you'll learn

Understand what distinguishes Agri-Marketing from marketing in other sectors and you are on the road to success! Marketing for farm and food businesses of course requires a general understanding of marketing principles, concepts and strategies; but there are special considerations too such as seasonality and weather, long production cycles, regulatory and environmental issues, and food safety and traceability. The Agri-Marketing microcredential addresses both consumer behavior and market research, with a focus on value-added entrepreneurial pursuits in farm and food enterprises. Successful completion of this microcredential prepares you for further study and provides owners and managers of farms and related food businesses with specialized skills needed to foster growth and sustainability. It can also serve as an entry point for those interested in applying for entry or junior level jobs at, or who already work at, advertising and public relations firms specializing in the agriculture industry.

A hybrid microcredential from SUNY Cobleskill (8 credits). Registration is completed with SUNY Cobleskill. Eligible for financial aid.
